    Arabicums

    Arabicum Desert Rose

Limited Quanity On Arabicum Desert Roses

The Adenium arabicum, or Arabic Desert Rose, exhibits a robust, squat growth habit with minimal differentiation between trunk and branches, particularly at maturity.  Its leaves are typically dark green and glossy.  Flowers are showy and tubular, displaying a color range from carmine-red to pinkish, often with a lighter blush near the throat; white, yellow, and striped cultivars also exist.  The prominent caudex makes it suitable for bonsai.  Mature specimens can reach 9 feet in height under optimal conditions.  This sun-loving plant thrives in bright, direct sunlight and intense heat, demonstrating exceptional drought tolerance.  Optimal temperatures range from 15°C to 32°C (60°F to 90°F); frost protection is required below 10°C (50°F).  Once established, it requires minimal maintenance.  In conclusion, the Adenium arabicum's substantial caudex, broad leaves, and attractive, often crinkled flowers make it a highly desirable succulent and bonsai subject.

    - Make sure your the pot your   using has at least 3 HUGE DRAINAGE HOLES.

    - Fill 3/4 of Drainage Mix into the bottom of your planter.

    - The remaing 1/4 of the top of your planter with our desert rose potting mix.

    - Make a whole in the center on top deep enought to plant your desert rose, always look for the difference in color where it was planted previously.

    - Make sure your desert rose roots are submerged with some potting mix.

    - Do not water your desert rose after potting!

    - Place your repotted desert rose under a bush or tree for shade for 2 weeks, no direct sun. Rain is the best for them but if there is no rain after one week you can mist them early in the morning or when the sun is going down.

    - After two weeks slowly introduce the desert rose to direct sun. Morning sun is the best! They do better with 6 hours of sun only during the hot summer days or they can burn.

    - Never repot in extreme hot weather 89 degrees or higher or in the extreme cold weather.
