What soil to use for desert roses.
We strongly recommend using these ingredients. Make sure your soil mix has 70 percent drainage. The parts of each ingredient depends on your climate. For dryer states use more coconut coir and for states like Florida with high humidity use more pine flakes.
Pine flake
Coconut coir
Perlite
Compost
Fertilizer like dynamite and Epson salt. Please place your desert rose under a tree or bush for 8 weeks. Do not water it at all, if it rains let the rain water water it ( rain water is very beneficial to desert roses ). If the temperatures drop below 55 degrees bring the plant inside. The dormant period starts at the end of November. They will lose their leaves and go to sleep. Do not water during their dormant season because they can die. They will shrink but don't worry when spring time comes put them outside in the shade and they will bounce back. Gradually put them in the sun.
Warranty is for failed grafted desert roses only and if you receive a sick or dead desert rose. Please send us a picture right away.
